After installing Educon II quickstart and installing the Page Builder Dutch language, it still shows English.

Installation of SP Page Builder language https://snipboard.io/Lm8nfe.jpg

Installation of Dutch Joomla language and set it as default https://snipboard.io/bOyFJd.jpg

Still English User Interface https://snipboard.io/ZG6FJi.jpg

What to do about this?

Thanks in advance.

I have talked with the team. It will be fixed in the next version. If you need it quick, then let me know the language name. I will send you the language pack here. Then you have to install it on your site and language will work.

Hi Ofi,

Thanks for replying. As you can see on the screenshots I provided, All the steps in the blog you linked were taken. But still no Page Builder in Dutch.

I took a closer look into the language file: nl-NL.com_sppagebuilder.ini and it's only a very very small part that has been translated to Dutch. Is this correct?

Yes, you have to translate this file. This will help you to translate most of the language strings.

hi Ofi, The documention of Page Builder says that the Dutch language translation is 100%! Why should I have to translate a very large ini file?

I agree with you. It seems like a bug. I will share it with the developer team. Please allow me some time.

Hi Ofi, I'm starting production this week and have to start with a translated PageBuilder backend. Do you have any idea how long it will take to find a solution for this?

Also the custom CSS file (/templates/educon_ii/css/custom.css doesn't seem to work, while CSS placed under Custom code / custom CSS in the Helix ultimate framework works fine. The custom.css file loads after template.css.

Hope to hear from you.

I will ask the developer team about it and share the update with you.

Custom CSS style might not be applied due to template.css priority. You can use !important after the CSS property value. For example,

.sppb-addon-header h1{
    font-size: 14px !important;
}

Hi Ofi,

Thanks! About the custom.css: I already used !important, but half an hour ago I tried custom.css again and all seems to be working now. Maybe it was a caching issue?

It could be a caching issue. I have informed the developer team about the language issue. We might release an update this week which will not fix it. It will be taken care of on the second next update.

Hi Ofi, Is there any workaround? The language issue is also present after installing Investa quickstart.

The team is working to fix the language issue. However, do you remember on which version it worked fine?

Thanks for your feedback. On my test, I have found that the issue was from older version. Anyway, the team will check it. Please allow us time.

Hi Ofi, The problem also occurs when installing only the Investa template and Page Builder instead of Quickstart.

Hi Ofi,

I'm still waiting for a fix. We're half a year and lots of updates further, but no change yet. Can you ask the dev team to give me a roadmap to the solution of this problem?

Thanks!

You are welcome 😊

I have a humble request. It would be very kind of you if you can manage some moment to give us feedback on

  1. Joomla Extension Directory
  2. TrustPilot

This will inspire us to improve.

Hi Ofi,

I'm working with the Dutch translation and unfortunately it is not workable. A lot is translated via Google translate, words translated in German instead of Dutch and words not translated at all (see screenshot). What can we do to solve this problem?

Can you share the English terms and correct Dutch terms side by side? I will talk to the developer team and ask to fix the translation.

Hi Ofi,

There are a lot of terms that aren't correct, so it will take hours to check all. A couple of examples:

  • unpublish - instead of 'verwijder publicatie' -> depubliceren
  • Check-out - instead of 'afrekenen' -> check-out
  • Trash - instead of 'vuilnis' -> prullenmand
  • Published - instead of 'Veröffentlichd' (which is German) -> Gepubliceerd
  • Unpublishes - instead of 'Onuitgegeven' -> Gedepubliceerd
  • Clear selection - insead of 'Heldere selectie' -> Wis selectie
  • Remove -> verwijder

etc. etc.

I have checked your translation with Google Translate. It seems that you are using Danish (Denmark) words. On the other hand, SP Page Builder uses Dutch (Netherlands). I think the translations are correct on the component.

Hi Ofi, I'm Dutch, so I think I know when a word is Dutch when I send it to you ;-) The component translations are (partially) not correct......and Google Translate sucks big time, so don't use it! Please use the words I send to you or let me know which Dutch translation files I can change to make it better.

Indeed you are right. We have used some automatic translators. Based on the use case, the translation might seem incorrect. However, you are welcome to override the language strings. Please follow the documentation to translate the language strings for Dutch language.
