Empty Module Positions In News365 Template

I have only my User Menu set to the Left position in my layout. I would like that position to collapse when not logged in. I have a 3 column layout: Left, Component, Right. The only module published in the Left postion is the User Menu which only appears when the user logs in. I would like the space that the left position takes up to collapse when the user logs out. Is this possible in the News365 Template?

Thanks in advance for any wisdom you can depart my way. :-)

Hello there,

Thank you for reaching out. Yes, it is possible to achieve the desired functionality with the News365 template.

To ensure that the Left position collapses when no user is logged in, you can adjust the access settings of the User Menu module. In the Joomla admin panel, navigate to the Module Manager and locate the User Menu module. Set the Access level to a specific user group, such as Registered, or any other group you prefer prnt.sc/xGtIE6VbnGf_. This setting ensures the module is only visible to logged-in users who belong to the specified group. When no user is logged in, the module will not appear.

The News365 template which is a Helix 3 based template, is designed to dynamically collapse unused module positions. When no module is assigned or visible in the Left position, the layout automatically adjusts, eliminating the space occupied by that column. This feature allows the content area to shift, maintaining a clean and well-structured layout.
