Hi

Is it necessary to pick the template or install if you want to try a flexible layout using SP page builder? Can i use it without installing the template and create the menu / header / footer from scratch using sp page builder pro?

thanks

Hello OtrueNorth,

No, it is not necessary to use our template if you want to create a flexible layout with SP Page Builder Pro. You can use SP Page Builder independently without installing a specific template and design your menu, header, and footer from scratch. This allows for complete customization to match your design preferences and project requirements.

Let me know if you need further assistance.

Best regards

That's great, How i do that? is there any guide or tutorial how to start from scratch, i did install one of your template and then start a new page in sp builder from scratch but all the template styling is taking it over. Not sure, do i have to install a fresh joomla / default template? but how to override the template to not show up and instead shows the home page from scratch.

thanks

You cannot start without a template, as Joomla requires one for the frontend to function properly. If you are looking to build a page from scratch without inheriting the styling from an installed template, you may consider using Joomla’s default template, Cassiopeia. This ensures a clean starting point without additional design elements interfering with your layout. However, if you wish to override the template while keeping your existing setup, you will need to explore options such as using a blank page layout in SP Page Builder, disabling template-specific styles, or applying custom overrides to achieve the desired look.
