Error "Too Few Arguments To Function"

SP Page Builder 8 months ago

Hi, when creating a page with a form, I get this error

"Too few arguments to function Joomla\CMS\Session\Session::getInstance(), 0 passed in /web/htdocs/www.buscaderoday.com/home/components/com_sppagebuilder/addons/form_builder/site.php on line 56 and at least 2 expected"

https://www.buscaderoday.com/index.php?option=com_sppagebuilder&view=page&id=20

The page is correctly generated while in frontend editor.

PHP is 8.4, Joomla is 3.10, Page Builder is 5.5.2 and the template is Shaper Helix 3 (but I have the same problem with the latest version of Shaper Ultimate)

Any suggestion?

Hi Alessandro,

Thank you for reaching out.

This issue could be related to a compatibility problem with PHP 8.4 or a corrupted installation. To troubleshoot, please reinstall SP Page Builder and let us know if the issue persists.

Looking forward to your update.

Best regards,

Hi, I've downgraded Page Builder to ver. 5.5.1 and the problem seems solved... Before that, I tried to downgrade PHP to older versions, but that didn't the trick...

Sorry but NO, the issue is not fixed!

Being obliged to downgrade the version of SPPB to 5.1 is not a satisfying solution!

For security and compatibility reasons, we are supposed to upgrade the components as soon as they are published...

Well if you have an idea on how to really fix this, please tell us. Actually I am experiencing the same issue.

Thank you in advance

Please try upgrading SP Page Builder to the latest version 5.5.2, and let me know if the issue persists.

If you encounter an error during installation, please uninstall SPPB and then reinstall it. However, keep in mind that uninstalling SPPB will remove SP Page Builder modules if you have any, but your pages and other content will remain unchanged.

If the issue still persists, please create a separate post and provide your credentials in the hidden content section. We are here to help and ensure you get the best solution.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hello Ziaul,

It seems you didn't read well the initial request...

Alessandro explained that THE issue was due to upgrading from 5.5.1 to 5.5.2........

Well never mind, let's do what he's suggesting and wait for the next update.

Well, more than fixed that seems a temporary workaround... It's better to keep in mind the problem for the next release...

Just name the folder /components/com_sppagebuilder/addons/form_builder Works for me!

The support is outrageous. It's frightening how ignorant the store is. Again and again you hit the wall of ignorance, procrastination and disinterest.

Of course Joomla 3.x is not up to date, but to update the software without notice and without regard to old versions and then to dismiss the users with such lukewarm slogans about Joomla 4 is really flat and nasty.

SP could be good, but is unsuitable for a website with high standards.

Fortunately, I only have 2 old installations left, so get rid of them!
