Hello Support, i thought with the latest Updates you solved all issues. After Updating from SPPB v5.4.6 to SPPB v5.5.2 i still got the following error:

0 stripos(): Argument #1 ($haystack) must be of type string, stdClass given Error 404

Now i can spend again 15 Minutes of my time to rollback and my written article is lost and i have to redo it...

Hello Atick, i created a Support user with the user group Administrator. Is this not enough?

This error message appears as soon as i upgrade to a newer SPPB version than v5.4.6 on both sides.

The solution is a bit complex. Please provide access to your second site, and I will fix it for you.

Hello Atick, i understand but please provide the solution here so also other users can benefit from this and i can documentate it if this happens the next time and solve it faster.

I searched the forum for this error message and found one result, also without providing the solution. This is not useful for the Joomshaper community.

The issue is occurring because an image has not been set in the SEO settings, but an alt text has been assigned. You can resolve this by either setting the image or removing the alt text.

Ok Atick, i found out what you mean.

In all SPPB sides -> Options -> SEO register card you added an image to the "Open Graph Image" field. https://i.imgur.com/Kkcc7Qk.png

Until SPPB v5.4.6 it was no problem to have in the SEO register card only the meta description and the keyword list.

So now it is also necessary to add an Open Graph Image when i want to fill the other fields?

The other fields are not necessary in this case. However, the 'alt' text is an image property, and if the image is empty, it may cause issues.

Hello Atick, thx for your Support. I was able to fix my second Website and update the SPPB to v5.5.2 by adding an Open Graph Image to every page.

Three things are still interesting.

  1. Both Websites do not have an Alt Text in the SPPB page SEO settings, but the missing Open Graph Image. Adding an image fixed the error message. If i try to add now an Alt Text in the SEO settings, the Open Graph Image gets deleted. From my point of view, something is wrong there. Everywhere else in SPPB i can add an Image AND an Alt Text.

Please investigate this again, whether this is not a bug after all.

  1. I don't understand, why an Open Graph Image (Open Graph is only for Social Media) is mandatory if i want a meta description and keyword list for my SPPB pages, which in turn is used in browsers?

Can you please explain that to me?

  1. A few weeks ago i asked in the Joomshaper Website Chat, if i also should add the meta description and keyword list in every SPPB page, when i already did this in all menu entries (Menu -> Main Menu -> "Menu entry name" -> Metadata -> Meta Description). A Supporter answered me by Mail, yes thats better for SEO if i add meta description and a keyword list also in every SPPB page. You wrote me now, "The other fields are not necessary in this case".

So what is true now?

best regards

BOFHJunior

There may be an issue in that version. Please check if it is resolved in the latest version.

The SP Page Builder SEO field is more powerful than Joomla’s core SEO settings. If Joomla’s field is good enough for you, then you can use it. There is no mandatory requirement to use SP Page Builder’s SEO fields.

A few weeks ago i asked in the Joomshaper Website Chat, if i also should add the meta description and keyword list in every SPPB page, when i already did this in all menu entries (Menu -> Main Menu -> "Menu entry name" -> Metadata -> Meta Description). If Joomla’s metadata settings fulfill your requirements, then using SP Page Builder’s metadata is not mandatory. These are not required fields, and the page can function without them.
