Hi Robert,

Thanks for contacting us. Well, I still haven't updated it, so right now, I can't share any experiences about it. I hope your experience is good. You can share yours.

Let's see if any other user can also share some experiences about it if it's good or bad.

-Regards.

so far.... Helix Ultimate works, also its settings. You can edit Pages using editor..

  • SP Page Builder Pro 5.x - OK
  • SP Simple Portfolio - OK
  • SP Medical - OK
  • SP LMS - OK
  • Phoca Commander - OK
  • Akeeba Backup - OK
  • Akeeba Tools - OK
  • Convert Forms - OK
  • GDPR - OK
  • JCE - OK

But as smart people says: ... only time will tell.

Thank you Paul, was just curious. Not able to update in any way next 2 days. Thereby, saw the security update was related to uploading malicious file through media manager. Since I'm the only one with acces I'm not concerned for now.

If you have Firewall component installed on those sites you have less to worry about than the average Joomla user. And a delayed update won't make a difference.

Problem with security & hacking attents in last couple of months had users who used Sourcerer Plugin (before last update) - that allowed Joomla to be Compromised Despite Security Measures.

Looking at upgrading a site from Joomla 4.4.12 to 5.2.5 but Joomla still claim following plugins remain incompatible and may lead to failed update.

System - Helix3 Framework System - SP PageBuilder System - SP Page Builder Pro Updater User - LMS Profile SP LMS Persons System - SP LMS Updater System - SP Cookie Consent

Please advice if upgrade is recommended. I could set up a new server and test upgrading offline but I rather wait for you guys at Joomshaper to give a green light and provide updated information to Joomla governance.

I have updated other sites without issues having following installed:

System - Helix3 Framework shaper_helix3 Helix3 - Ajax System - Helix Ultimate Framework System - SP PageBuilder System - SP Page Builder Pro Updater System - SP Cookie Consent

But what about the LMS tools? Should I inactivate them before updating? Thanks

Hi Jörgen,

If you updated all those extensions to current version (with manual confirmation), you can ignore that warning.

There is a "MAGIC" subpage >> https://www.joomshaper.com/joomla-extensions

where you can check (24/7) which Joomla version is supported for each extension. This should calm your nerves and soothe your fears :]
