Hi

I use joomla 5.3 with Helix Ultimate and with Salon template.

I want use frontend editor to add new events (articles). But in a form missing created date. There are only "Start publishing" field and the "Finish publishing". But I use created date for event date.

Please help me how I can add to a frontend created date filed too.

Thank you for your message.

In Joomla, the "Created Date" field is not available in the frontend article editor by default. This field is handled internally by the system and is not intended to be manually set via the frontend. Only "Start Publishing" and "Finish Publishing" dates are exposed for scheduling purposes.

Since you're using the "Created Date" as the event date, we recommend using a Custom Field instead. You can create a date-type custom field (e.g., "Event Date") and assign it to your articles or a specific category. This field will appear in the frontend editor and can be used reliably for your event date.

Best regards

Thank you for your answer.

Yes, custom filed would be good, but the problem is with the ordering of events, as I can't sort by date (date of events - custom field).

I dont finde a solutin. Is this possible?

Thank you for your reply, Ervin.

I'm sorry, but unfortunately Joomla does not allow modifying the "Created Date" from the frontend, and it also does not support sorting articles by custom field values by default.
