SP LMS Events - 'Event is Over' Even Though Time has Not Lapsed

Using SP LMS - Events
The event is set to 16:30-18:30 today but it's saying that the event is over
The event should show until after the event end time?
The countdown is also wrong, takes you to the start of the day, not the actual event start time
The 'SP LMS Upcoming Events' module also brings up a 'Using $this when not in object context' when in use.
Tested on 'Events page'. Link in Hidden Content

The event is over message is now gone but the countdown has disappeared
The 'SP LMS Upcoming Events' module still brings up a 'Using $this when not in object context' when in use. 'Events page' URL link in Hidden Content

Coundown now showing for past events with the countdown. For upcoming events it shows as 0
New events also don't know the date and time but past events do
The Upcoming Events module is now showing but it's showing but has 'COM_SPLMS_NO_ITEMS_FOUND' even though there are Events that are upcoming

Accepted AnswerThe event date must be set to a future date (later than today's date). Only then it will appear as an upcoming event.
