Issue Saving HOME And Default Pages – Error 503 With SP Page Builder

SP Page Builder 5 months ago

Dear JoomShaper Support Team,

I’m currently experiencing a technical issue with SP Page Builder on my Joomla website www.sublimyourbrand.com.

Whenever I try to edit and save the “Home” or “Default” pages using SP Page Builder, the system either keeps loading indefinitely or returns a 503 Service Unavailable error. This issue seems to affect only these two pages — I’m able to edit and save all my other pages without any problem.

Here are some key points:

Joomla version: 5.3.0

SP Page Builder version: Version: 5.5.2

Hosting environment: godaddy

SSL is properly configured on the site.

I have already tried clearing cache, using incognito mode, and testing with simpler content – the problem remains only with the Home/Default pages.

Could you please assist me in resolving this issue?

Thank you in advance for your support.

Best regards, Laetitia www.sublimyourbrand.com

Hello,

Thanks for reaching out to us. Could you please share temporary administrator access to your Joomla backend? You can provide the credentials securely in the hidden content section. Also, please take a full backup of your site before we make any changes.

Once I have access, I’ll investigate further and see what’s causing the issue. Let me know once you’ve shared the details!

Best Regards,

Hello! Yes of course .I will share it

Also, I'm having problems getting mail from the contact form. I've ran test from PHP and everything is correct. https://sublimyourbrand.com/index.php/pages/contact I've tried several times, but I don't receive it. I've changed DNS already so PHP is functionning.

Best Regards Laetitia

Hi Laetitia,

On your contact page, the form builder had an incorrect field name: value. I’ve fixed that for you.

Please, add your license information in sp page builder settings.

Hi Ziaul ,

I've just check the form again and still no email received. Did you look at the "home" page problem? I've put my licence already. Thank you for telling me.

Best regards Laetitia

Your homepage is not loading on my end.

Regarding the contact page form submissions, the issue seems to be with your PHPMailer functions. Please consider using SMTP instead of PHPMailer.

Thank you.

Please check this link : https://sublimyourbrand.com/index.php/home It's loading perfectly on my side. The only problems I have is I cant' change anything there. All pages are editable but not this one.

For the PHP function, I do receive email when people are login in or any other form. The only problem seems to be the contact form, not the email function.

Best regards Laetitia

I downloaded your site and ran it on my local PC, and everything works as expected.

It seems the issue is coming from your server. It could be due to a large page size, or a security features, like ModSecurity, or firewal rules blocking the request, or the server not establishing connections properly.

For contact form issues, Please, try to use smtp. Currently, it's work form my local pc.

Thank you.

I've already set the SMTP and did receive the Test email but nothing from the contact form. I don't understand why and it's really necessary to have this fixed. Also the home page seems too heavy for the server I beileve so I will make a new one. please help me with the contact form problem.

Best regards Laetitia

I’d be happy to assist you. However, it looks like your SMTP setup is incomplete. Please complete the setup, Check the following blog: https://shorturl.at/zM8vQ

Your contact page configuration is ok.

Thanks

I did already call Godaddy about that and they said the set up is correct. I do receive email without problems only the contact page isn't working. It's not a problem of SMTP configuration I think.

I briefly checked your site. Please update the following two email addresses and use different ones instead.

I hope this will resolve the issue. Thank you.

Yesterday I received an email from the contact form for the first time from [email protected] for a test. So it worked properly but now It doesn't work anymore. I've changed recipient and sender also...

The main issue appears to be that your hosting provider is blocking the form submission requests. Please contact them to check if any spam protection or email filtering features are enabled that might be interfering with these requests.

I’ve thoroughly checked your site and noticed that sometimes the form submits successfully, while at other times it shows an error. This inconsistency strongly suggests that the issue is related to spam protection, which may be blocking the request by treating it as a potential spam email.

Additionally, in your form builder settings, please ensure that the “From” email address and the recipient email address are not the same—especially if one of them is also used in the mail server configuration. Using the same address for both can trigger delivery issues.

Thank you,

Your problem is not a website error but is blocked by ModSecurity on hosting. Please turn it off when editing the website. Need to check the security plugins on joomla if any. I myself had this problem and I solved it with the help of chatGPT

Ziaul,

I fixed the problem and finally it's working. I wasn't from the server but from the receipient and from email field. So receipient must be "[email protected]" and from email, another address" [email protected].

thank you
