Control Access To The Pages

SP Page Builder 3 months ago

I would like to control access to the pages in SP Pagebuilder. I have created a user group for this purpose. All categories that are created in Pagebuilder are made forbidden and I allow just one category. But it doesn't work. The user has access to all pages. I can assign the permission in individual pages. But I can't access every page and I don't think about it when I create a new one. This works with Joomla categories, but not here. What am I doing wrong?

Many thanks for the quick help :)

Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out, and I apologize for any inconvenience caused by this oversight. Please watch the video & read the Joomla ACL documentation.

Thank you very much. But your links are not helpful. I think its a bug in Pagebuilder.

My Problem: I have created 2 categories in Pagebuilder: Car and House. Then I have Pages, which I have assigned to the categories. The user group House is only allowed to edit the pages of ā€œHouseā€. Car should not be possible.

Now I have denied everything in the Auto category for the House user group (as you do in the Joomla standard), but he can still edit the pages. Even if I set ā€œeditā€ to denied in the pagebuilder configuration and set the house pages individually to allow, this does not work.

Thanks for help :)

Thank you very much for your efforts.

I certainly didn't express myself well: The pages must be public in the frontend. Only in the backend a certain user group is allowed to edit all pages with the category ā€œHouseā€. I have 100 pages. Unfortunately, I can't assign a permission to all pages individually, especially as the customer creates new pages themselves. They would then always have to go to the permissions. It has to be more global.

In joomla, this is normally done via the category. If I assign the appropriate permissions there, the user can only edit his posts. But this has no effect on the Pagebuilder categories
