Is There A Way To Restore A Previos Version Of A Page?

Hi, I worked on a page in Pagebuilder. I had a look at the "home" page and wanted to go back to the page I was working on and used the "undo" arrow in Pagebuider (which was stupid). I was back at the testimonial carousel I was working on earlier - but didn't realise that the addon (testimonial carousel) was now displayd on the "home" page. I only realised it after "saving" and thereby overwriting the home page.

Is there any way to get it back?

I do have Akeeba Backup - but I'm reluctant to install the backup since I'm unsure if it would not make even more trouble than reworking the homepage.

Hi,

Is there any way to get it back?

In easy way, no. But your hosting support should have database backup from day before you made "bad" click.

Then open database file (backup) in Text editor and find that page , search by its name. That page should be in prefix_sppagebuilder table. Then use PHPMyAdmin (in cPanel) and find the same page on current database, and replace content, and save changes.

Longer way - recover page from recovered backup, export-import.

I shared only basic tips, whole rest is in your hands. Every action has its consequence.

Hi Thank you! meanwhile I found a different workaround. I loaded the last akeeba backup to a different (not used) webspace. This way I tested how to use an akeeba backup, which was good. In this webspace I opended Pagebuilder and could export the original home-page. Back in the live site I imported the backup home page and only had to change the reference in the menu to the new (imported) page and everything is back to normal.

Thank you anyway for your solution!

Best regard Susanne

You have chosen a longer way, but if it worked, I am proud of you.

Have a nice day.
