Hi - I see that there is a vertical video switch which can be enabled. However, even if I switch it on, it makes no difference to the display. What am I missing?

Best regards, Kirti

Hello Kirti,

Sorry for the inconvenience. Just to clarify, enabling the vertical video option doesn't convert a horizontal video to a vertical format. It only applies to videos that are already vertical. If you upload a vertical video without enabling this option, you’ll see empty bars on both sides. Enabling the option ensures the video displays correctly without those bars.

Hope this helps!

Best regards

Hi Kirti.

If ON - It uses that style for <video> :

width: auto;
  left: 50%;
  transform: translateX(-50%);

The combination of these properties means:

  • 👉 The video is centered horizontally in the container, regardless of its width.
  • 👉 There is no forced width — it retains its natural proportions.

But yes, used video resolution must be Vertical (!) like YT shorts. It will not change Horizontal video to Vertical.

This is what I am getting https://blogs.hotkhana.com/component/sppagebuilder/page/41 with the 'Vertical Mode On'. Unlike the image form, the videos are much smaller with a lot of space wasted.

Best, Kirti
