Helix Ultimate Update Crashes Site Due To Php Incompatibility

I'm running Joomla 5.4 with Helix Ultimate and SP Pagebuilder. Yesterday, the helix ultimate template appeared in updates. So I downloaded the latest version and on importing it, I got the message that php 8.2 is required. The debug page header says this: Attempted to load class "Helper" from namespace "HelixUltimate\Framework\Platform". Did you forget a "use" statement for another namespace?
Frontend shows a 500 server error. Upgrading to php 8.2 doesn't help, even with the help of my hosting company. Is there any way to fix this or is a rollback the only option?
