SPPB Images Moved To Other Folder?

Good evening

Before, in SPPB when you wanted to insert images to your page, they were all under the default "images" folder of Joomla.

With this latest update, I see there is a new folder created "files", which contains all images for SPPB.

What is the reason for this? As far as I know, I nowhere activated some option to use a different folder.

This also means, this folder is not accesible by the default Joomla Media Manager.

Helix Framework still uses the default folder "images", for example to change the logo.

Hello Ionut,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

In the global configuration, go to Media → Path to Files Folder → Images. When using the page builder, all uploaded images will be stored in JRoot → images. Other files, however, will be uploaded to the Media folder.

Thank you.

Good evenin Ziaul

your reply: "When using the page builder, all uploaded images will be stored in JRoot → images." which is not, it goes to the "files" folder. I'm just uploading .jpg or .png

When I upload the images through FTP to the "images" folder, they don't even show up in the media manager of SPPB.

Everything has to go to the "files" folder for SPPB, which makes it very difficult to use the images because they can be stored in 2 different folders, which are not always reachable depening on which plugin you use

The files directory comes from the Joomla 5.3 update. If you don’t want to use files directory, you can change it to images, and SP Page Builder (SPPB) will upload all images into the images directory instead.

Thanks!
