Custom Style In Helix Template

I am using a template from your Helix collection, and I have never been able to use the Custom Style option. Only the presets work. If I want to change colors, I always have to edit the code, which takes a lot of work. Why doesn’t the Custom Style feature work, or what am I doing wrong?

Hi,

You can create a custom.css file inside the template's CSS folder, then keep all your custom CSS in one place. Here is all about custom code placement in Helix Ultimate Framework:

https://www.joomshaper.com/documentation/helix-framework/custom-code-css-js-meta

Hope this helps!

Hi caroline.b,

I hope you’re doing well. I’m sorry for the experience you’ve had so far.

To look into this issue more closely, could you please share temporary Super Admin access (inside the hidden content box)? I’ll check this and update you as soon as possible.

Please make sure to keep a full site backup before sharing the credentials, just to be safe.

Best regards,

I have created a Super Admin account for you, but this is not the first time I have raised this issue. With previous JoomShaper templates, I had exactly the same problem. Back then, I was told that everything would work in a future update, but there have still been no changes.

Hi,

Please accept my apologies. I have just checked your custom style section and header backgound color changing option is working fine here at my end. I have left the change for you to check.

Please clear your caches, check and then let me know.

Best regards,

hello i tried to change the background color again and it was not working, after more then 5 min and after clearing cache the color was changed. Is that normal? When I have to adjust 10 colors and check each time if it’s okay, it takes more than an hour. I’ve also tested this on other browsers and encountered exactly the same problem.

Hi,

Are you using any caching plugin? On the frontend (live site), the changes should reflect after a single hard reload. In my case, I pressed Command + Shift + R, and the changes were reflected immediately.

Are you facing delayed reflection still, please?

No, making adjustments works extremely slowly and is not pleasant to work with. I’ll just continue making changes in the custom code. But in which file are the changes I add in the custom code saved? I can’t find this file anywhere, and it would be faster if I could write directly into the file instead of using the template options.
