Template Compatibility Joomla 5 Vs Joomla 6

Hello,
We are going to install Joomshaper template 'salon'. It says compatible with Joomla 5. It does not say 6.
However, we would prefer to install Joomla 6.
How are our chances the template still works for 6; and how are the prospects the template upgrades soon ?
We could install Joomla 6 and then the template, for a try. But maybe there is an internal version check that will prevent that. In this case, is there a specific file where we could tweak the version (experimentally) ?

big template upgrade from J5 to J6 is planned for next year, in upcoming months.
In theory, template developed for Joomla 5 should work in Joomla 6, but you need to enable plugin Behaviour - Backward Compatibility first.
For testing period you have nothing to lose, so just test how it works.
