Spectrum Template And Upgrade Joomla 6.1: Backward Compatibility Issue

Hi, I am currently preparing a website to upgrade from Joomla 5.4.8 to Joomla 6.1.2. All extensions and templates are updated to the latest available releases. I tested disabling the native plugin "Behaviour - Backward Compatibility" (specifically the Class Aliases option): as soon as Class Aliases are disabled, the frontend crashes with the following fatal error: 0 Class "JText" not found

What can I do? Thank you

Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out, and I apologize for any inconvenience caused by this oversight. This plugin helps Joomla 6 maintain compatibility with older extensions, templates, and custom code. It is recommended to keep it enabled, especially after upgrading from an older Joomla version, to prevent compatibility issues and errors.

Best regards,

There's been a misunderstanding, sorry. I'm referring to the Backward Compatibility plugin in Joomla 5, which I can't disable otherwise I get the frontend crash. Therefore, I can't proceed with the upgrade to Joomla 6. The error is related to the Spectrum template (Class "JText" not found), no other comopnents or plugin give me issues. Thank you

Could you kindly grant me access to your Joomla administrator area so that I can investigate the issue you're experiencing? Prior to providing access, please ensure that you have backed up your site. Additionally, it's important to note that providing login credentials is entirely voluntary on your part; we respect your decision either way. However, if you do choose to share the login details, it would greatly expedite the resolution process. Thank you for your cooperation.
