User Menu No Longer Works Since Update

I updated our site to PHP 8.3 and still need to upgrade to either Joomla 5 or 6.

However, after updating the PHP and then installing the updates to Helix to 2.2.3 and SPPB to 6.2.2, now my 'Moderators Login' works and shows the 'success' page with the user menu. However choosing either option of the user menu gives the following error: Call to Undefined method Joomla\CMS\Object\CMSObject::getButtonName()

I have no idea how to fix this. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Donna,

As I remember one file from template has to be removed.

Please in Global Configuration enable Debug mode & set Showing Errors to Maximum, and preview the same view, you will see which one.

It could be button.php file from template folder \html\layouts\joomla\editors\buttons\

but I don't remember details.

Paul, I did that and it gives me a big listing. Unfortunately I don't really know what I am looking at. Would you help me?

Use FTP or FileManager from cPanel and delete button.php file from template folder before you will go to New Year party

Deleted the template file and all works as expected!

Thank you so much. Unfortunately no New Years parties for either my husband or I as we have the flu and have had to cancel our fun for tonight!! :(
