Add New Blog Layout

Hi,
By default there is an overrided blog file here coming with HELIX :
/www/templates/shaper_helixultimate/html/com_content/category/blog_item.php
What I would like to do is, create my own file and select it from item menu settings. See here : http://prntscr.com/14upldx

Thanks for contacting with us. You can make change in this file and select it from menu settings. But you have to keep a backup of this file otherwise when the update will come then this file will be overridden.

Accepted AnswerHi. Blog override is not such a simple task as other overrides. Look in Google on request "Joomla Category Blog override".

Accepted AnswerI know but this is the only way to avoid default file being overrided during next update.
