ad 2) No, it request addon/js code customization. Not from settings or by custom CSS

ad 1) It's defult behavior of slider code, probably customization in JavaScript is needed for that. If that is a problem for client, keep only bullet controllers without side arrows. Less = More.

One last question regarding the image carousel

• On this carousel https://rolexboutique-stthomas.com/watches/land-dweller: is there a way to stop at the last slide (1908) and display the 4 last slides instead of having an infinite loop?

Not from settings. This addon use that: components/com_sppagebuilder/assets/js/sp_carousel.js

Maybe you can find alternative carousel module with those settings that you can use instead or custom build solution if you have time and budget.
