Notify Readers Of New Article - NEWSBERG

We are looking to use the NEWSBERG template for a new project and like the idea of 'Bookmark' an article or Subscribe options..
Is there a recommended extension that will allow readers to 'Follow' a category or similar to get Notified of new Article published? Also, how does the 'Bookmark' option function?

Thank you for your interest in the Newsberg template.
The Bookmark feature is included with Newsberg through the SP Author Archive component. It allows users to save/bookmark articles and access them later from a unified dashboard.
However, category follow/subscription notifications are not built into the template by default. For this functionality, you would need to use a third-party Joomla extension or notification service.
Common solutions include:
- AcyMailing
- Convert Forms with email automation
- Push notification services
- Joomla content subscription/follow extensions

We don't have any, so maybe make research on JED. But remember that somebody has to visit website to see any notice anyway.
In most cases, webmasters use both newsletter component and social media to inform users about a new content.
