I think there may be an SEO compatibility issue with the way SP Page Builder outputs lazy-loaded images.

SP Page Builder appears to replace the real image src with a placeholder SVG, while storing the real image URL in a data attribute instead. This means SEO sitemap tools may not detect the real page image, because the actual image is not present as the src image in the page source.

The part I do not understand is that SP Page Builder is already outputting loading="lazy", so native browser lazy loading appears to be in use. In that case, is there a reason the real image URL still needs to be replaced with a JavaScript placeholder?

Is there a setting that allows SP Page Builder to keep the real image URL in src while still using native loading="lazy"?
