Page Builder, Tab SEO And Schema In Joomla Article

Hi, I have a question about a feature and would like some information.

I noticed (but I don't know which version) that when I write a page in the Page Builder component, I have four tabs available in the "Options" tab, including SEO and Schema.

When I write an article in Joomla using Page Builder, these two tabs have disappeared (I use them often).

Is this a deliberate change, or is it a bug? I quickly searched the release notes but couldn't find any references.

I tried checking on a protected test installation, where I have Page Builder version 6.5.0, and those two tabs are also present in Joomla articles where Page Builder is used.

Thanks

Thank you for your question and for checking the behavior across different versions.

To clarify, this is a deliberate change, not a bug.

The SEO and Schema tabs inside the Joomla article integration of SP Page Builder had no actual functional impact, as they were not applied during article rendering. Because of this, they were effectively non-functional fields.

Starting from version 6.6.1, these fields have been completely removed to avoid confusion and to streamline the interface.

For SEO and structured data, the correct approach is now:

  • Use Joomla’s native article SEO settings, or
  • Use a third-party SEO extension, if required

The removal was made to ensure consistency and prevent users from relying on settings that did not have any real effect in the article integration context.
