Issue With Filter Add-On After Adding A Variant

Hello,

I have added a new variant on my Easystore called "Tailles (Adultes)" and assigned it to a product, but when going back onto my website, I don't see this new variant added to the filter add-on variants. I even tried re-saving the page in the SP PageBuilder integration with no success. Should I do something so that it is synchronized ?

If I click on the product to which I added the variant, I do see it, so the issue is only with the filter add-on.

I have added access information to my website in hidden content if needed.

Thanks

OK... found out that's because the same variants already exist in another variant category.

So e.g. if I add :

  • Sizes (Kids) : S M L XL
  • Sizes (Adults) : S M L XL

It will only show the first one in the filter add-on...

But then if I try to remove a variant from a category and re-add it with the same name to another one, it's still showing in the old category on my filter add-on and not showing the new one... I really don't know how to sort that out

strange behaviour

I still didn't find a solution... It works if I add a brand new attribute that doesn't exist in any other list, but if I try to add a variant that already exist to a new list, it doesn't work at all, it doesn't show the new variant category in the filter add-on.

So I have a list of variants called "Tailles" in which I have a lot of variants. In tried removing one variant from it called "6 oz" and created a new category called "Taille (Gants") in which I added the same value "6 oz". When going on my website, it still shows the "6 oz" under "Taille" even tough it doesn't exist anymore, and doesn't show the new category "Taille Gants" at all !

Hi,

I apologize for the inconvenience.

I'd like to clarify that a variant category will only appear in the filter if at least one in-stock product is assigned to a variant within that category.

Regarding the changes not being reflected, this is most likely due to caching. After making any changes to your variants or filters, please make sure to:

  • Clear the Joomla cache.
  • Clear your browser cache.
  • If you have any server-side or CDN caching enabled, clear those caches as well.

Since your site is currently under development, I would also recommend temporarily disabling all caching. Caching is designed to improve performance on a live production site, but during development it can prevent recent changes from appearing immediately.

Please try clearing/disabling the caches and let us know if the issue persists. We'll be happy to investigate further if needed.

Thanks for your answer. I indeed came to the same conclusion in the meantime.

One of the biggest issue I still have is that if you have the same variant in 2 different variants categories, the filter add-on will only show the first one, which is pretty disturbing.

Eg. I have a category "Adult Sizes" with S,M,L,XL and another "Kids Sizes" also with S,M,L,XL... the Kids Size category will never appear... I had to change the sizes to YS,YM,YL,YXL to make it work so that I don't have 2 variants with the same name.
