Hello Bernard,
Thank you for your patience, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.
I have investigated the issues you reported and would like to provide the following updates:
1. Social Share Buttons
I have fixed the issue with the Forward button. Please check it on your end and let us know if it is now working as expected.
Regarding the Facebook Share button, we have investigated the behavior and confirmed that this is not caused by an issue with your website. Instead, it is due to platform-level restrictions imposed by Facebook and Apple.
Why it works on desktop
On desktop browsers, the Facebook share button opens Facebook's web sharing page, allowing the article URL to be passed correctly. As a result, the share dialog appears as expected.
Why it behaves differently on iOS
On iPhone and iPad, this behavior is affected by two platform restrictions:
- Facebook no longer supports one-click pre-filled sharing from websites. Facebook's platform policies prevent websites from automatically opening a Facebook post with content or links already attached. As a result, the desktop sharing behavior is not available on iOS.
- iOS redirects Facebook links to the Facebook app. When users tap a Facebook share link on iOS, the operating system often launches the Facebook app instead of the browser. In many cases, the app opens to the Facebook home screen rather than the post creation screen with the article link, so the expected share dialog does not appear.
Please note that this is a platform limitation and is not specific to your website. The same behavior affects Facebook sharing from websites in general on iOS devices.
2. Feature Image Upload
Regarding the Article Blog Feature Image upload issue, I am currently investigating it. I will update you as soon as I identify the cause and have a solution.
Thank you for your patience and understanding. Please let me know the results after testing the Forward button, and I will keep you informed regarding the image upload issue.
Best regards
