Yes, it should be possible to keep your movie database, if you're using the SP Movie Database extension that comes with the Moview template. The latest Moview package still includes SP Movie Database, which has been updated for newer Joomla versions.

Before proceeding, we strongly recommend taking a full backup of your website.

• The version of the Moview template and SP Movie Database you're currently using.

The step-by-step update process I shared in my previous response should preserve your movie database.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "both databases." Could you please clarify what you are referring to? That will help us better understand your concern and provide the appropriate guidance.
