Helix Language File Issue

Helix Framework 1 day ago

Our website recently was attacked through the JCE editor, and we have to rebuild everything from scratch to make sure its 100% clean... I started out with the QuickStart J6 version of Floox. Its all up and running, and I have been rebuilding everything. But it seems that there is something wrong with the language file for Helix3 (atleast in my setup). When I setup the menus, in the Helix tabs, the friendly labels are not showing; rather the all caps placholders are there.

Hi Marc,

It should be easy to correct.

  1. Download : en-GB.plg_system_helix3_UNZIP.zip
  2. Unzip it
  3. Using FTP or File Manager (cPanel) upload to this folder: administrator\language\en-GB
  4. Override, if you have older (smaller) file with the same filename.

BTW

Even if you're using Joomla 6 now, consider using Firewall component. There are Free and Pro one.

Thank you, this fixed it!

My site is on AWS and we are using their network firewall to limit access to just 443 & 80. Do you think a Joomla Firewall component will add additional safety?

Just check server logs, until you have only country traffic and Google bots is OK, but when others appears... it may be too late.

for example, on my site I have big hacker traffic from Indonesia. It's just a coincidence, I don't think so.
