Helix3 Update From 3.1.2 To 3.1.3 does Not Work

Hi, I am trying to update Helix3 template on Joomla 5.4.7 from 3.1.2 to 3.1.3,. I always get the following error: JInstaller: :Install: Can't find XML setup file. Joomla\Filesystem\File::copy([ROOT][TMP]/install_6a69de251b4e5/template/index.php, [ROOT]/templates/shaper_helix3/index.php): Copy failed

I tried already:

  • emptying the /tmp/folder
  • update in Joomla updater
  • download current file from joomshaper website and manuall install

The website was updated three weeks ago from Joomla 3.10 to 5.4.7

Any ideas? Can I just copy the template files over the existing version?

Ah, sorry, now I know. It was our fault. We set the index.php in the template to read-only because we have added some analytics code there. Sorry for the hassle and still thanks for your support!!!

HI Sigrid,

  1. Are you able to install any other extension, please try.
  2. Yes, you can override files manually (FTP), template and plugin.

Hi Paul,

yes, I can install other extensions. I just tried. I will upload. I need only the template. The plugins are already 3.1.3

Just download quickstart or template package, and override folder with template itself. Quick action.
