How To Transfer News Slider Addon (Video Layout) From Newsberg Template To A One-Page Template?

Hi JoomShaper Team,

I have an active license and I'm currently using a JoomShaper One Page Template for my main website. However, I want to display my 4K video portfolio using the exact layout and look of the "Video Slider" from the Newsberg template's "News Slider Addon".

Could you please guide me on how to manually copy/transfer the necessary files and CSS from the Newsberg template folder to my current template directory so the addon shows up and functions perfectly in my SP Page Builder? If there is a standalone ZIP installer for this addon, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your support!

Hi,

Thank you for your question.

The News Slider addon is included as part of the Newsberg template package, and the Video Slider layout is a template-specific variation. It is not available as a standalone addon ZIP installer that can be installed separately on another template.

If you want to use the same layout in your current One Page template, you have two options:

Option 1: Use the addon from the Newsberg template

  • Install the Newsberg template package on a test/staging site.
  • Copy the required SP Page Builder addon override files from:
templates/newsberg/sppagebuilder/addons/

to your current template override folder:

templates/your-template/sppagebuilder/addons/
  • Copy any required CSS/JS files from the Newsberg template assets and load them in your current template.

Please note that this requires some customization because the layout may depend on Newsberg-specific CSS classes, template styles, and assets. And I am sorry to say that, we do not provide customization support, you have to customize it yourself.

Option 2 (Recommended): Recreate the layout using SP Page Builder If you only need the same visual style, it is usually better to recreate the section using SP Page Builder addons and custom CSS rather than transferring template files. This keeps the setup cleaner and avoids compatibility issues when templates are updated.

Also, please note that copying template addon files directly is not officially supported because template overrides can depend on the original template structure.

-Regards.

Thank you for reaching out. While I understand your requirements, custom feature implementations fall outside our current scope of support. You will need to develop and integrate these additions independently.

Best regards,
