Hey, i'm facing the same problem. 404 on frontend editing (from front and backend access). It occors only when editing pages in another language than english. The frontend editing on pages in english are working fine. Paco, are you using a multilanguage site?

1- Hello, Ok, I'll give you a screenshot, I have checked the links I have done some tests, but the problem persists. Thanks 2- Hello Michel, I don't have a multi-language site. The truth is that it has been working correctly, but suddenly the error has come out. I have tried putting the site in English and the error continues, so I do not think that in my case the problem is because of that, even so, thank you very much for your interest.

Thank you for providing the screenshot. Can you kindly give me you administrative access? Use the hidden mode to share the log in credentials please.

Okay, I've already figured out the problem. The point is that the Route 66 component conflicts, as soon as I disable it everything works. I don't know if it only happens to me, but in this case where would I have to turn, to you or to the developer of route 66? Thank you

Hello Paco

Sorry for the late response. Thank you for notifying that you could figure out the problem, yes because of a third party extension such error can occur and disabling it can help. You need to contact the third part extension provider in this case first.

Thank you

Two conflicts and resolutions I've found:

  • Route 66: Instead of disabling the entire extension, you can go into Route 66 options and in the URLs tab, go into the Exclusions box and select SP Page Builder. This fixed my 404 issue in the frontend editor.

  • JCH Optimize: This can also give conflicts with the frontend editor. Go into the JCH Optimize options and enter the URL of the frontend editor page (for example: /edit/2). I'm not sure if you could use a wildcard here, such as an asterisk after /edit/

hi, where did you set that in JCH options ? i've the same problem. in my case caused by Disable Login from Stefan Herzog, COBIZ Webdevelopment. https://extensions.joomla.org/extension/system-disable-login/ Deactivate and it's OK.
