Joomshaper, Helix And PHP8

Helix Framework 4 years ago

The title can seem a bit strange, but here is my problem: I am struggling since about 2 days to make one of my websites working properly under PHP8. And after a while, I finally could get it working. I wanted to check the other one (travel-video.info) and when opening Joomla, I saw there is an update for Helix framework (2.0). I thought this could be good news and i lauched the automatic upgrade in Joomla.

The update did not work properly (message with some XML not available or not reacheable...).

Opening the site to see if it was affected, I saw very weird things, and I'm not quite sure where they are coming from. I don't think it comes from PHP8 as I tested it quickly yesterday and did not see strange things. So I guess it comes from a bad installation of Helix framework. The site uses Travelia template.

What are the problems:

• the language switch is not nicely displayed (FrEnNl are on one line without any spaces or line feed, which makes it unusable) • the page used to be centered in the middle of the screen and now it's left • an image on each page of the site should be round, this function is not applied anymore • links to previous and next page on bottom of the page is not readable anymore (probably blue font on blue background) • background of menus has disappeared • facebook, google+ ant twitter icons are weird.

Website is: https://www.travel-video.info

Any suggestion? Do you think it all comes from the bad installation of helix, and... most important of all: how can I fix this?

Thanks

The round images being an essential element of the layout of my site, I decided to recreate them all in Photoshop (there are about 400 pages...) instead of making them round with the border radius option, which seems sensible to release changes in Helix or SPPagebuilder. It takes me lots of time, but I do not have the choice, I guess. So the last problem remaining is the position of the display in boxed layout... It should be in the middle and not left centered. Thanks in advance for solving this problem.

I could solve some of the problems (manually or by adding some custom CSS lines, as I still do not understand why it did not work). I still have 2 problems : The site appears on left of the screen for destops instead of in middle of the display. On each video page I use to add a rounded photo (square picture with border radius 1200 - done with the Spbuilder addon Image). The image is not round anymore, only the image overlay is round when you pass your mouse over it. I imagine you are very busy with the problems linked to the new version, but if you can find a moment to have a look on this 2 problems, I'd be more than happy.
