Different problems after the last update

Hello,

I read in the forum about the problems after the last update.

Problem site: Hidden Content - Link 1

But I see now, there are a lot of problems with the social media icons (Link3), search bar (hidden now) and so on.
Here is a other problem - Link 2 > two colums (über mich).

Can I uninstall shaper_helix3 template, because I use shaper_finance?
Can I use my extensions and pagebuilder in joomla 4?
The site is loading slower too.

I have an backup - should I install it? Which updates I can do now and which updates we should not use?

Hello Alex,

I hope you are doing well.

Helix3 or Finance, neither of these two are Joomla4 compatible yet, so we highly recommend you not to upgrade to Joomla4 before the compatibility. Our dev-team is working on it and those will be compatible ASAP. You can then upgrade to Joomla4.

For now, please restore your site from the backup you have as this is the best possible solution. Thanks God that you have the backup.

Please note, if you want to build a complete fresh site with Joomla 4, you can use Helix Ultimate 2.x.x framework as that is already Joomla 4 compatible.

Hello Alexander

Both Helix3 and Finance are not compatible with Joomla 4 yet. Upgrading to Joomla 4 right now in production sites is not recommended. There are many third-party extensions like ours are not fully compatible yet. It is better to wait at least couple of weeks to see how things are going. Meanwhile, we will update our products accordingly. Please check our roadmap for Joomla 4

Thanks to both for your fast help.

I have restored the site two times.
At first I have updated "System - Helix Ultimate Framework" the site layout the has crashed again.
After this I have only updated Joomla to 3.10.1 it works fine.

The problem was your Helix U Framework. (1.1.4 to 2.0.1)

Please do not update Helix Plugin if you are using any template based on Helix. We are working for the template compatibility. Templates will be updated soon.

I understand your confusion. Please check our roadmap for Joomla 4. It is very reasonable not to update templates right now because there might be third-party extensions which is not compatible yet.
