Off Canvas Not Working After HELIX Update.

Our off canvas is not showing anymore.

when clicking the screen turns misty. No sub menus showing.

I have this on 2 websites with the helix templates.

Helix 2.0.4 joomshaper 3.10.2

Hi. It is very simple. Select offcanvas layout in the template settings, save and clean the Joomla cache and especially deep clean your browser's cache.

Please go to Offcanvas settings and select one offcanvas tyle. Then clear your cache and then it should work. Follow as Pavel suggested.

Hi Ofi,

The issue is fixed in some of the styles, but is still present in portions of the site (for reference, I have 6 individual styles operating on the site, all under Helix Ultimate)

Also, on load the page does a little "flicker", kind of a momentary blur. Is noticeable. Any particular reason for this?

Please clear your Joomla cache and Browser's cache and then check. If possible, then check with a different browser. Share a screenshot of your flicker issue to understand it better.

Hi Ofi,

I have refreshed cache on both browser and site, as well as purging the expired cache, and the off canvas menu still goes in blur in four of the six styles.

Regarding the flicker I have attached screenshots of three different pages. The flicker happens right at the point the page loads if I hover over the page or scroll down the page. The links for images:

Hi Offi,

The manu issue occurrs whenever on any menu items besides the Hyundai and Isuzu styles on the template. If you navigate to, for example, the Volkswagen lineup, or the preowned lineup, the menu is a blur. So the off canvas menu is not working correctly on some of the styles, while working correctly on others.

My apologies if I did not explained on detail that since we run different brands, we do have a distinct template style for each. We run a Core style for the overall site, with specific templates for Hyundai, Isuzu and Volkswagen cehicles, an additional style for Commercial vehicles, and yet an additional style for Preowned units. All of them were moved to Helix Ultimate recently, based on advice, and specially pending migration to Joomla 4. The off-canvas is working on the Core and Hyundai styles, while it doesn't on the remaining styles.

The blur on load can be seen on my end, and it was tested on both Mac and PC desktops running two different browsers (Chrome on Mac, Firefox on PC). Tne flicker as can be seen fom the video is present on both cases.

Also, there was also an issue in regards of fonts. I have selected distinct Google Fonts for each brand. Yet on the page many of the brands show in standard non-serif. THIS WAS SOLVED BY UNCHECKING THE COMPRESS GOOGLE FONTS SETTING IN JCH OPTIMIZER PRO.

Please advice.

Thank you so much for the support. All off-canvas are now operational. For my own info, any possible cause for such issue, just for me to avoid causing it in the future...

Also, would you recommend to have sub menus also available within the off-canvas menu? Based on the amount of items and the images available.

It will not happen in the future. If it happens, then go to the template settings and select an offcanvas style. The style got deselected after the update.

I will not recommend it since you can't show images on the offcanvas. It could be a disaster.
