Off Canvas Menu Not Working On Tablet - Question | JoomShaper

Off Canvas Menu Not Working On Tablet

I'm using Helix Ultimate and the off canvas menu does not respond as it should. When tapping the menu items, they do not respond dependably. I have to tap MANY multiple times to get it to respond. The off canvas menu works perfectly on my mobile, it just doesn't work on the iPad.

I had to enlarge the off canvas menu to be able to get it to respond as much as possible. Before I enlarged the menu, it would hardly work at all.

You can see it in action via this video: https://youtu.be/0rCDbzTf_0w

You can view the website here: https://holyhoster.com/newlife

Hopefully someone can help. Thanks!

BETTER ANSWER:

Searching for a related matter I found this CSS code that COMPLETELY fixes the offcanvas problem. Even though changing the menu position to the left greatly helped, it still malfunctioned a little bit. This code is what should be core code. Better yet, Joomshaper should implement this with features to easily adjust size, width, color, font, etc. How nice would that be? Hope this helps someone. "Don't give back. Just give because it is the right thing to do."

.offcanvas-menu .offcanvas-inner .sp-module ul > li a, .offcanvas-menu .offcanvas-inner .sp-module ul > li span { position: relative; display: block; padding: 12px 20px 10px 25px !important; cursor: pointer; text-align: left; color: #71767b; color: #224B5B !important; border-bottom: 5px solid #f3f7fd; font-size: 20px; font-weight: 900; line-height: 30px; text-transform: capitalize; }

I have found a work-around.

I changed the off canvas menu to the left position and that has solved the problem.

I tried out several of Joomshaper template's to see how well their offcanvas menus work and some of them had problems. One (Dylan) did not work at all.

I tried the Helix Ultimate basic template from Joomshaper's website and the offcanvas menu worked. HOWEVER, the menu was positioned in the left position which is the only position that it works in.

I guess I never got the Joomshaper Memo stating that their offcanvas menus DO NOT work on tablets in the left position.

Hi, Please do not close the post. This problem remains . It works if Offcanvas is positionned on the left not on the right. And moreover offcanvas menu and logo are misplaced, centered...

Thanks

Oh, do you want it vertically centered? I can do it via custom CSS. Please mention the resolution where you want that feature.

Not at all! Or I do not understand. Logically, burger menu should appear perefectly aligned on left and contact button aligned on right.
