Hi,

Sorry for the delay!

I was concerned about the edit panel hiding issue as you arise this initially, so given you suggestions accordingly to solve it.

I have checked your last video and I think I have got the new issue! Actually, you need to click on the settings icon of the items there first. I have recorded another video about it. Here it is:

Let me know if it is clearer now or not.

Best Regards

Hi there,

Sorry for the inconvenience.

I have suggestions for you...

You can use the context menu to edit those addons. Context menu appears when you right-click inside of an addon, it gives you useful edit options right there.

Another suggestion is that you can create a new Row, put a divider addon there, then disable that row, and move that disabled row on top of all.

And keep it please, must be disabled, not deleted. Then you may be able to edit all rows below.

Best Regards

Thanks for the response, the context menu does not have an option to edit the addon, it only has an option to openSettings, but once the settings is there, i run into the same issue of hide & seek with the add on edit option,

How do i create a new Row, is New row an addon. or what is the best way to add a new row.

Thankyou Rashida for the response and all the assistance, made some progress but not all the way, still could use some help to move forward, I'm still using the below document to change the sliderbackground image, https://www.joomshaper.com/documentation/joomla-templates/finance/slideshow-background-image-change

However Step 2 below is not successful for me.

Step 2:

Now scroll down a bit in the addon options in the sidebar. You will find the "Slide background image". Click Remove to delete the existing image.

Below is the video for my steps, as you can see i do not see the option for "Slide background image", pls review and assist https://youtu.be/nJrxnJZnXPY

Thankyou Rashida Rahman, that was it,

A little note in the documentation could be helpful for other users > https://www.joomshaper.com/documentation/joomla-templates/finance/slideshow-background-image-change

One related question, while i'm able to click on the blue settings of the slider, i'm still not able to click on the green settings, unrelated to the issue that i reported, but wanted to get your insights > https://youtu.be/Wf_uJygRiiI

Hi,

Yes, I was working. And everything seems okay now. For your later issue I have solved it by going to your backend. You could not edit the green icons, because you had added a new divider addon inside the existing row/section, but I was suggested to add the addon within a new row/section. And I have showed you how to add a new row/section in my first video to you before.

However, here are the steps I have done now!

Add a new row: https://prnt.sc/1x3h8bz

Put a divider addon there and then disable the row: https://prnt.sc/1x3hbi9

Then pull the disabled row to the top: https://prnt.sc/1x3hhxf

And now you can access them all! https://prnt.sc/1x3hnbs

Please check and let me know!

Best Regards

Thank you Rashida Rahman, it works fantastic now, thanks for outlining the steps, i tried the same steps earlier, but it seems i did not drop the disabled row in the right place, but your screenshots are very helpful, i will try the same in our test environment,

Thanks Rashida for looking into it, it appears i needed to use the frontend editor to upload the image, Earlier i had deployed the image directly in the file system and that was not taken, the the file uploaded using frontend editor does work, thanks again for sparing time, One step forward and one step at a time :-)
