Updates Crashed My Site Again

SM

Steven Morris

Template 4 years ago

Hello,

I went into the backend of my site and it informed me that there were updates to be done for a few modules. I did not update the version of Joomla because I know the Newsberg template isnt compatable yet. As soon as I did the updates the following message apears and I can no longer bet into the back end or see the site at all.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ':', expecting ';' or '{' in /home/mozza1972/public_html/test.theliberationplace.com/plugins/system/helixultimate/src/Platform/Helper.php on line 65

This is INCREDIBLY frustrating as it has happened before. Am I not supposed to do updates? If thats the case can you let me know please. Also now I have to spend time trying to figure this out, I am not a programmer so this is a difficult and time consuming thing for me to do, your help would be appreciated.

Steven.

Do you have ftp access to the hosting? Maybe try to edit file in the error and replace ":" for ";" in the 65 line?
