Tried To do Update With New Helix 2.2.0 And Website Crashed

I tried to install your updates today and now my entire website has crashed and even the host company is having problems trying to get it back running again!
I am still on Joomla 4.x and PHP 8.1.xx
Now I have nothing. I am working on trying to get this site updated, but now I've got an even larger problem.
Why not tell people when you put an update out there that they shouldn't use it unless they are at PHP level xxx and Joomla XX.
Now what do I do???

Accepted AnswerHi, At this point because of the problems I will not try any 'new' upgrades until my site is on Joomla 5. My php is also an older version which needs updating. There are many of us out there that don't jump at the latest and greatest as we are volunteers doing websites and not full time developers or programmers.
I had enough issues trying to get my backup installed and have worked most of today so far on that, as I didn't realize the hosting company changed my php to test and never switched it back.
I will be upgrading forms (we have a lot) to get them ready for Joomla 5 as there is no upgrade path and they must be recreated. After that, the site will be upgraded to Joomla 5. And then we have to contend with Joomla 6. This is nuts.
