Attempt to assign property "source" on null

Asked by Bruce Paine 5 months ago Last activity 1 week ago

Hi JoomShaper Support Team,

I am really struggling and hope you can assist.

My home page lists the first 9 'latest products'.

It has been working fine until today but started showing the message:
"Attempt to assign property "source" on null".

I have enabled Joomla debug and set error reporting to maximum.

That revealed the PHP code "JROOT/components/com_easystore/sppagebuilder/common/productlist/site.php:73"

At line 73, I am able to bypass the error with an if statement.

Note that there are also menu items shop/mens and shop/ladies. The 'mens' product listing is also stopping with the same error message.

We have identified the issue, which occurs due to array filtering. In some cases, when the first variation index contains an out-of-stock item or a zero value, it triggers this error. We expect this to be addressed and resolved in an upcoming release.

Thank you.

I have also tried changing Category, Updating images, replacing/simplifying product description, forced saves and adding attributes but nothing seems to help.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello,

Thanks for reaching out to us. Could you please share temporary administrator access to your Joomla backend? You can provide the credentials securely in the hidden content section. Also, please take a full backup of your site before we make any changes.

Once I have access, I’ll investigate further and see what’s causing the issue. Let me know once you’ve shared the details!

Best regards,

Sorry - your forum isn't letting me edit posts.

I added the login details but they didn't save.

Here they are again...

You can go ahead. I cannot run a backup now but the most recent is acceptable.

Also note, I have enabled Joomla debug and error reporting maximum.

This reveals:
JROOT/components/com_easystore/sppagebuilder/common/productlist/site.php:73

The statement on line 73 fails.

From there I have been able to identify these sample products that are failing:

product_id":198
product_id":200
product_id":251
product_id":64
product_id":66
product_id":68

It's good to know that the issue has been identified and will be addressed.

In the meantime, I will work around the problem.

Thanks.

I have tested this on 3.0.1 and I can confirm this is now resolved (I had an override for this issue which I could disable successfully).
