Why on earth still on a version that is end of life for years?
Easy - money
Client's don't wanna pay every year after they already paid for websites or for other thing if it's already working fine :)
Then I would loose those client rather today then tommorow.. It's quite simple, a website need maintenance. If not they should choose a builder like wix or whatever. I assume they do pay their car dealer when their car had some maintanance. See it often, building a website for someone without talking about maintanance en future costs. You spend your time and money to keep everything up to date and safe. Not more then normal this gets compensated. One of the reasons I avoid small business owners.
You can add that to your Joomla 3 .htaccess (after RewriteEngine On):
# Block com_ajax completely
# Block com_ajax via SEF URLs
RewriteRule (^|.*/)component/ajax/?$ - [F,L,NC]
# Block com_ajax via query string
RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} (^|&)option=com_ajax(&|$) [NC]
RewriteRule ^ - [R=404,L]
Or simply install HTProtect and click [ Secure Now ] - it will automatically apply the protection to Joomla 3 as well.
Have this since last week and this saved my a!
Thnk you but we still need a patch :)
Hi there,
Thank you for reaching out.
Joomla 3 officially reached its end of life (EOL) on 17 August 2023. As a result, it no longer receives official security updates, bug fixes, or support from the Joomla project. For this reason, the latest version of Helix is developed and tested only for supported Joomla versions.
To use the latest version of Helix, you'll first need to upgrade your website to a currently supported version of Joomla. This ensures compatibility, improved security, and access to the latest features and fixes.

Hi!
I understand that perfectly, but you should also understand that absolutely all versions prior to 2.2.7 are vulnerable to hacking, which means you must ensure that all possible versions can be patched. You released a patch for SP Page Builder, just like JCE also did.
There are millions of reasons why people don't allow their sites to be updated, and it's easier to create a new one on J6, and I'm one of them.
Already, I have explain why it's not possible.
