BUG : background image duplicated

Asked by Laurent 2 months ago Last activity 2 months ago

Hi

When I add an image as section background, this image is duplicated even if I set no-repeat in settings.
See video in Hidden Content area.

Why ?

Thanks

Hi,

You're welcome! I'm glad it's working properly now.

The issue was related to your caching solution. For some reason, it was still serving an older cached CSS file even after the cache had been cleared or disabled. As a result, two different CSS versions were being loaded simultaneously, causing the background image to be rendered twice.

To resolve this, I removed the collection-saison section class first, which forced the old cached CSS to be discarded. After that, I added the same class back, allowing the system to regenerate a fresh CSS file with the correct styles. This ensured that only the updated CSS was being loaded.

This can sometimes happen when a caching or optimization system retains previously generated CSS assets instead of fully regenerating them after changes. Although clearing the cache usually resolves the issue, some caching layers (such as server-side cache, CDN cache, or CSS optimization plugins) may continue serving stale assets until they are explicitly refreshed or regenerated.

Please let me know if you notice anything else, and I'll be happy to help.

Is you site online? I have tried to access but unable to access.

Laurent Asked this

I had to move website in production so URL domain has changed.
but in previous message I sent to you a full backup (following your request).
so you are able to install the website locally and reproduce the issue.

I have tested this on my local environment, and it appears to be related to a caching issue on my end. I will recheck the issue on the live server to verify whether it can be reproduced there.

Laurent Asked this

strange because on the first URL I gave to you, cache was disabled.
So I don't think the issue is coming from cache.
