Hi,
I have had numerous issues upgrading my Joomla sites from Joomla 3.10.12 and the problem is always because of SP Pagebuilder!!!
I'm led to believe I must first update SP to version 5.3.2 before attempting an incremental migration of Joomla to version 4. Can someone please provide me a link to download 5.3.2 Pro so I can at least get that far?
Is there another version of SP that I must first upgrade to before going on to Joomla 5 then 6?
Many thanks,
Tony.
Thanks Paul,
It looks like I wasn't far off the mark! The template settings weren't a big job for this site...
As frustrating as it has been, at least I now know for next time.
Really appreciate everyone's help on this 🙏🏼
Cheers,
Tony
Hi Tony,
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.
Please follow our guide for the recommended Joomla 3 to Joomla 4 migration process:
Joomla 3 to Joomla 4 Migration Guide
You can also find older versions of SP Page Builder Pro, including 5.3.2, in our download archive:
Please make sure you are logged in to your JoomShaper account to access the older versions.
Hi there!
Thanks for reaching out.
Since you're already using SP Page Builder 3.8.10, you can proceed with your Joomla migration.
You can find the older SP Page Builder versions here:

You may also find our documentation helpful for upgrading SP Page Builder from the 3.x, 4.x, or 5.x versions to 6.x:

Please make sure to take a complete backup of your website and database before starting the migration, and we strongly recommend testing the process on a staging site first.
Best regards,
If I may... from my expirence:
If you have Joomla 3.10 you don't have to update SPPB. Keep 3.8.10 as you have, then upgrade to Joomla 4. Ignore Joomla warnings(!). Then having fully working Joomla 4 update everything to new versions, SPPB included. And will be OK. I done it 3 times in last week, works!
Thank you all for your responses, however I'm still having huge issues updating Joomla from 3.10.12 to 4.4.14
With error reporting set to maximum, it appears the issue is now with my Helix Framework (I am currently running 1.1.3 and shaper_helixultimate 1.1.4). When I try to update to the latest version before upgrading Joomla, it tells me I must be running php 8.1, however Joomla 3.10.12 only runs on 7.4
An error has occurred.
0 Composer detected issues in your platform: Your Composer dependencies require a PHP version ">= 8.1.0". You are running 7.4.33.
I'm pulling my hair out!!! Already I've had to completely rebuild 3 of my clients sites from the ground up because of these issues.
Hi All,
I have resolved the issue by uninstalling the Helix Framework and Helix Ultimate template, then upgrading to Joomla 6 before reinstalling Helix.
It might not be the ideal way of doing things, but after having to reinstall a backup on 6 attempts, at least I have made progress.
Thanks for your assistance.
Cheers,
Tony.
In Helix templates, you can export settings, then import them.
In most cases you can only disable Helix (template & plugin), switch to default Joomla template, then upgrade Joomla etc.
Those are popular hacks used by J! experts. But If your method worked, that's also OK.
