BUG Easystore 3.0 Email rendering

Asked by Stephane Hanrez 4 weeks ago Last activity 2 weeks ago

Using Easystore 3.0 there is a bug on the rendering of the new buttons at the end of the email template.

They do render correctly on the preview, but not in the final email received.

I have set my button BG to red, Link color to red and Button Color to white, but the button appears red on red.

Looking at the CSS of the email sent I see:

.content a {
    color: <Link>;
}

but futher below:

.cta-button-primary {
    background-color: <Button BG>;
    color: <Button Color>;
}

as far as .content a is more specific than .cta-button-primary I get red link color on top of my red BG button

I also noticed than when hovering, the button becomes red on blue, and I cannot change it as this is hardcoded in Easystore code, this should be an option in the default template:

.cta-button-primary:hover {
    background-color: #bfdbfe;
}

and btw, it should also be possible to specify the button's outline, both for normal and hover, e.g. if I want to button to become white on hover with a red text and red outline.

Hi

Thanks for contacting us. Could you please give me a screenshot of your issue? So that I can check.

sorry but I don't see what screenshot you need... Do you need a screenshot of the red button with no text appearing because it's using link color which is the same color as the button background ? Not sure how it can help

You can easily reproduce the issue. In the email notifications, default template, simply set the same color for Button BG and link (e.g. red like I did), and set Button Color to white... Then create an order so you get the email notification. You will see that the button doesn't appear with white text on red, but with red text on red (it uses the link color instead of the button color, because both are set in the stylesheet but the link color takes precedence).

Please keep a full site backup and give me your super admin access? We need to check.

Hi,

You won't be able to check through my website because in the meantime I worked around the issue by setting the link color to white (so it appears correctly on the button) and harcoding all other links to red directly in my mail templates.

Moreover, the preview in the email templates is rendering correctly, the issue is when you receive the email.

I don't really get why you cannot simply reproduce it on a test environnement, as I gave you the exact steps, this should be something pretty straightforward to reproduce on any test site.

JoomShaper support are very poor at understanding and trying to replicate issues in their own environents. It makes me wonder if they bother doing any testing at all!

I confirm this issue has been solved in 3.0.1. Tested on my test environnement.

Glad to know that.
