SP EASY IMAGE GALLERY - Module - Link To Full Item has No Correct SEF URL

Hello, there seem to be a bug in the module and SEF URL routing. It happens in Joomla 4 only! The respective gallery menuItem and ID is not respected at all. In the module (Album list), an album link does not get the correct SEF URL. It behaves if there is no menuitem. The URL contains "component" and looks like this: /component/speasyimagegallery/albumname?Itemid=123

PS: Joomla 3 module does work.

I have no site online. Another user reported this problem on facebook. I just created a temp local site and could easily re-create his issue! It is a bug in the Joomla 4 installation only. In joomla 3 it works fine.

Hello Toufiq, thanks for supplying an online demo and access 👍😎🙏 I have setup a gallery module copy and changed the layout to Album List. Funnily, both links to both albums seem to work fine... I can see a SEF URL with Gallery/ as parent item followed by album.html and test.html 🤔👍🤷‍♂️

only difference to my local install is the Joomla version 4.0.6, I guess. I am going to check my site again...

Hi,

I am having the same issue. Joomla: 4.1.0 SP Simple Portfolio: 2.0.5 This my testsite. When you click "View" on the image, the URL will be this:

www.peterswebsites.nl/nieuw/component/spsimpleportfolio/item/1-prv-de-where?Itemid=0

I am using the module in SP Pagebuilder.

Regards, Peter

@Peter Spiegelenburg create a menu item & assign your simple portfolio items. Then check again. Thanks

Hello again, I have tried another temp installation with Joomla 4.0.6 CloudAccess free hosting plan.

SEF URL issue shows up again! :(

  • I have setup and tried both MENUITEM TYPES - Single Album and Albums
  • the gallery MODULE is set to ALBUM LIST, published in Footer position
  • the modules URLs do not have a proper SEF link to the albums!? Including /component
  • the strange part: the module's links have ItemID 109 , but there is absolutely NO Item with this ID. The actual gallery MenuItem has ItemID 112

@Toufiq

Not sure why this is necessary... but it's done. Now, you're in temporary "God Mode" ;) :D

@Toufiq

Hello again, did you see the issue in my test installation? Any clues? I did not see any difference to your site and setup... except for the J! core version.
