Width Of Viewport To Off-canvas Menu

Using shaper_helixultimate - Default
When the browser width is above 1180px (approximately) the menu and mega menus look good (in the right place).
When making the browser width smaller - from widths of 1179px to 973px (approximately) the menu drops into the background below the menu area - and is hard to read
When making the browser width belo 973px (approximately) the main menu dissapears and is displayed in the off-canvas menu - and looks good.
How / where do I change the menu to go to the off-canvas menu at 1179px?

I changed it to:
@media (max-width: 1550px) { .sp-megamenu-parent { display: none; !important; } }
...still no effect
Even after clearing the caches (browser and joomla).
