CSS Problem After 2.0.7 Update

Hi team,

I have tried Helix Ultimate 2.0.7 and I found a problem. After upgrading, on some website the top bar looks like this https://prnt.sc/tLACBYb_2V5I or like this https://prnt.sc/NNQuqLYQBjgB But my settings are set to this : https://prnt.sc/ww-R9_HrvTO4 By default the option COMPILE SCSS TO CSS is disabled, so I have tried :

  • to enable COMPILE SCSS TO CSS https://prnt.sc/UCA_MK4rmwpa
  • then I save settings
  • then I disable COMPILE SCSS TO CSS option
  • then I save settings
  • then I clean cache plugin

After that, seems to be working fine. The problem is : I have many and many websites to manage...so It's impossible & crazy to do that manually on each website.

So what is the solution?

I have the same problem, which was solved by enabling/disabling COMPILE SCSS TO CSS option. Also in my case website background color was changed.

Yes, I said the same. But this solution cannot be acceptable when you have hundred websites to maintain. I cannot spend few hours to do that.

Hi Laurent.

It looks like a workaround for this does not exist. The template update drops everything that is in template.css & default.css to default values if Compile SCSS to CSS is OFF. Of course, the Joomshaper team needs to think over this behavior and correct it. But I'm afraid you have to wait until the next update if they take it into work.

Personally, I never come across this problem, because I prefer CSS coding instead of the template settings. I have long understood that the template settings are unreliable when updating.

Yes but it's a mess. because template provide settings to be more comfortable and after update settings are broken...there is no logic?

Yes please thank you :) because when helix template is updated it's a mess if we have to disable and re-enable manually COMPILE SCSS TO CSS option. you can imagine the time lost with hundred wesbsites? If we decide to use templates, frameworks, page builders etc...it's is to save time. But here, we lost a huge amount of time. I think this is a priority.

For me this problem occurs repeatedly and randomly (?) - I have to toggle COMPILE SCSS option to make it the way it was every time. Please look into it. Thanks
