When I make a front end edit with SPPB, the changes are saved successfully...until they're not. A few minutes later, the pages revert to the previously edited state. It makes no difference what browsers I use for editing and (or) checking.

Wish list: the back end should be as easy to work with as the front end, where you can actually see what you're editing.
