SP Page Builder 8 months ago

Good day, I updated SPPB version 5.3.4 to version 5.5.2 and my frontend editor stopped working. I tried everything:

  1. Cleared the browser and Joomla cache
  2. Tried deleting and installing previous versions of the page builder.
  3. Logged in from another browser
  4. What's most interesting is that I opened a backup on the hosting, but the previous (working) version of the site, the frontend editor also does not work in it.
  5. Also, the buttons for selecting the editor have disappeared in the material editor Help solve the problem?

I provided access from the site below

Hi Alex,

Thank you for reaching out, and sorry for the inconvenience.

Your .htaccess file was empty, so I copied the necessary code from the htaccess.txt file and applied it to .htaccess. The front-end editor is now working fine.

Please check and let me know if you have any further questions.

Best regards

Asfakur, thank you very much, the editor started working only now, here's the problem. I have articles for the blog and before there was a choice in which editor to layout them. Either SPPB or JCE editor, there were two buttons. Now there is no such option and my layout has flown off on some articles. I will send you screenshots and links of normal articles and incorrect ones.

  1. Here the layout has gone wrong https://besedka-dacha.ru/blog-news/92-ograzhdeniya/153-kak-vybrat-zabor-dlya-dachi-ili-zagorodnogo-doma this is how it looks in the editor https://prnt.sc/YvQA5VUpylkh
  2. Here is an example of a normal article https://besedka-dacha.ru/blog-news/96-khozbloki/154-khozblok-s-drovnikom this is how it looks when editing https://prnt.sc/vMoN00Vqbhch

Asfakur, I don’t understand what’s broken? The layout has gone wrong on half of my articles. Previously, when creating a new material, there was a choice of which editor to use. Now this is not the case. THIS is the result of the SPBP update. This needs to be fixed. I won’t be able to develop my project.

Hi,

It’s possible that the SP Page Builder article integration was turned off during the update. I have now enabled it.

You can check the settings here: screenshot.

Your issue should be resolved now. Please verify and let me know if you need any further assistance.

Thanks!

You're most welcome! I’m also glad to know that your problem has been solved.

You may ask about a related problem in this post, but I suggest creating a separate post for each specific issue. This makes it easier to manage and search. Our team members try to solve problems promptly.

However, please make sure to take a full site backup before any upgrades.

Best regards.

Asfakur, I forgot to ask. How did you change the file htaccess through the Joomla admin panel? This needs to be done on the hosting? Also, tell me the file htaccess of the required configuration now? Are any add-ons needed for it?

Yes! I used the 'Phoca Commander' extension to carefully edit that file for a prompt solution.

However, after completing the task, I deleted the extension since it was not originally installed.

Please mark the most useful response as accepted to close the post.

Thanks!

Asfakur Tell me one more thing. I have a website https://банисталинград.рф and I updated the Shaper_waynecorp template to version 2.0.2. in order to subsequently update Joomla to version 5.

  1. After I updated the template, I now have two of them. versions 2.0.1 and 2.0.2. Why? https://prnt.sc/FMF__XxGqZG2
  2. When I switch to the updated 2.0.2 template, the layout of the main slider, menu and logo crashes. Why doesn't the template overwrite the previous one? https://prnt.sc/pnQHFIILWy5V

Hi Alex,

Sorry for the inconvenience.

The template name has been changed to 'shaper_waynecorp' in the latest update, which is why the updated template was installed separately instead of replacing the existing one.

Please export the old template settings and import them into the new one. This should resolve your issue: screenshot.

Additionally, please create a separate post for this issue, as it differs from the main topic. This will make it easier to search for and manage since it is a template-related matter.

If you continue to experience any issues, we will resolve them promptly.

Thanks for your understanding.

Best regards
