Make The Height Of A Section Change Based On Browser Width

Hello,
Is it possible to set up a section so that the height changes as you resize the width of your browser? I'm trying to mimic how the hero image resizes on this website - https://www.seashinecapital.com/investments/
If you resize the width of your browser on my page, the background image resizes, but it gets cropped by the consistent height of the section. Am I missing something?

I think this is attaching a screenshot. I just need the hero section to resize in the same way as the previous site I linked. I'll look into that custom CSS link as well. Thanks for getting back to me on this.
