Remove Button From Image Layout And Working Under Multiple Layers

I have removed the button text from an image layout but the > still shows up as a link on the rendered page. How do I completely remove the button from an image layout block?

Second question, when a layout has multiple layers of overlayed images how can I access an item that is under another layer without deleting it?

For your first question you have to use this custom CSS

i.fas.fa-angle-right {
    display: none;
}

Path towards custom CSS: Extensions>Templates>Styles> Click on your current default template name then choose Template Options. Then find custom CSS within the custom code.
