Decision Tree

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to build a dynamic decision tree so that a customer can select options to determine an outcome (I.e. do you own a dog or a cat?) Customer chooses 'dog' and next question is related to their answer (I.e. what size dog do you have?) Customer chooses 'large'. Customer is then informed they need a large dog collar etc. TIA

In that case you need custom creator component. If you have budget hire a php developer.

Design is not a problem, but code (features).

BTW

Ask on FB Joomla fanpage - maybe somebody has ready solution for it already.

Hi Matthew,

your quetion is beyond JoomShaper support, but I will give you a tip.

RSforms Pro and Convert Forms component have "Conditional Fields", so during creating and then filling the form it's possible to get what you want. I done it serveral times, also about 2 weeks ago. It depends on you if you need to use Send button after all.

Our SPPB - sorry, but not ready for that :(

Is it possible to do that using different extension, probably - but I shared first idea that came to me.

Very basic example: decision logic "if X then display Y".

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the swift reply and for the suggestions. Forms are not really what I was looking, at least I don't think they are anyway, as the user journey will be heavily led by images instead of text fields (i.e. A picture of a cat and a dog whereby the customer selects the pet of choice and then proceeds to do the same with the following questions etc.).

Not sure if you have any further suggestions of how I could achieve this, like I say, wihout page hopping? The other key factor is that the data needs to be stored in some sort of variables and then converted into an order at the end based upon the customers choices (i.e. they are shown a bunch of large dog collars which they can filter/sort and then purchase.

I know this is quite a complex system but it must be achievable, perhaps just via another 3rd party plugin/extension or even a shopping cart of sorts.

Critically, it also needs to blend seemlessly with Joomshaper/Joomla layouts

Anyway, thanks again!
